1986

Health food Pioneer

The company was brought to life with a focus on making nutritious food & beverages - pioneering a health food movement.
As one of the first players in the Australian Plant-based beverage market, we specialised primarily in: soy, rice milks and breakfast drinks.

2000

Exporting the 
Freedom of Choice

The company continued to develop plant-based beverages exporting an organic plant-based range to Japan, bringing dairy alternatives to more consumers.

2003

Health is Paramount

Paramount, the oldest seafood company in Australia, joined the team; diversifying our range yet maintaining our focus on providing consumers nutritionally rich foods.

2004

Freedom Foods leads the health food category

Freedom Foods joined the team as the leader in the health food category, giving options to a wide range of consumers with dietary requirements – from gluten intolerances to nut allergies, and everything in between.

2005

Our Supporters

The Perich’s, the largest dairy farming family in Australia became major shareholders, backing Freedom Foods with a range of operations. Twelve years on – they still have our backs.

2007

A2 Partnership

Freedom Foods began a prosperous working relationship with A2, providing ranging in Australian health food stores and flourishing from there.

2009

Australia’s allergen-free facility

Freedom Foods reached a milestone when we arrived in Leeton NSW – building Australia’s first dedicated allergen-free facility for cereals and snacking! This means a true allergen-free guarantee for consumers.

2014

New standards of quality dairy

Freedom Foods didn’t stop there – completing our UHT dairy facility in Shepparton, Victoria meant reaching new standards of quality dairy.

2015

Freedom enters new territories in North America & China

Freedom Foods continues to grow, entering the North American and Chinese markets with cereals, snacks and dairy – bringing healthier choices to consumers around the world.

2015

Expanding our capabilities across paddock to plate

As we continue to grow, so do our capabilities. Darlington Point Mill led our raw food grade ingredient capabilities. In true Freedom Foods spirit, only non-GMO and gluten-free products come out of Darlington Point.

Adding to these new resources, Freedom Dandenong joined the crew as the leaders in Australian oats.

With growing demand, Freedom took on the challenge to upgrade our state of the art manufacturing site for plant-based beverages & dairy in a new location, Ingleburn.
